US Nationals Sets many records

Updated 28.10.08

The 2008 US Nationals set many new records this year with 10 teams competing in the Advanced category and 6 teams competing in Open with a total of 80 competitors. In the Advanced category, Team Dysfunction edged out Jedi to take the gold while the race for 3rd was a tight one with Swingline beating both the 4th & 5th place teams by only 2 points:

In the Open category the event started out with the 2007 National Champions Team Mandrin setting a new World Record for the most points ever scored in a VFS round. In the 35 second working time, they scored a 40 setting the bar. Click here to see the video. But a new world record wasn't enough to hold off the local Team Arsenal who made a decisive victory scoring a total of 125 points in 6 rounds solidifying the gold by 12 points over Mandrin. Bronze was claimed by Deland Hybrid XP with a total of 96 points.
